After a quickly sold out first demo, the debut LP “PRINCESS OF PAIN” was released in 2015. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Dennis Koehne (Sodom, Lacuna Coil, etc.) and Tom Kornis, the album was released as CD, LP and digital and is celebrated with an exclusive release concert at Cologne’s Partymonium. In addition, two music videos were shot for the songs “Road to Nowhere” and “Live it Up”. The album received enthusiastic press reviews (e.g. RockHard, Deaf Forever, Punk Rock, Sleazeroxx).
In 2014, the three original members began working on their first full length album “PRINCESS OF PAIN”. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Dennis Koehne (Sodom, Lacuna Coil, etc.) and Tom Kornis. The finished product was released in march 2015 with the assistance of Maniac Attack Records and was launched in the course of a huge concert on cologne’s famous Partymonium party.
In addition to numerous headlining shows and supports through Germany and neighboring countries, the band celebrated a great success with their first headlining tour in early 2016.
“RISE OF THE SNAKE”, the second album, was released in May 2018 as digipak CD, limited poison green LP, black LP and limited gift box edition, which was sold out after one day. The involvement of all band members in the songwriting process ensures great song diversity: with the three music videos for the singles “Two Desperate Hearts”, “Run Fast” and “Beyond the Rust”, the band demonstrates the album’s range, from melodic sing-along hits to driving metal.
With the album in tow, Snakebite attracts attention at festivals and is booked for WILDFEST, DONG OPEN AIR, RAGE AGAINST RACISM and BANG YOUR HEAD, among others.
Snakebite captured their stage qualities with a live recording at their 100th show, in front of a sold-out crowd: “100 DESPERATE HEARTS – LIVE!”, was released in January 2020. In addition, Snakebite represent European hard rock on the COMPILATION “Live the Rock” of the US label RFK-Media.
After the forced Corona break, the band is in the starting blocks with the third album in mid-2023. The production is financially supported by the band’s loyal fans – the COBRA CREW – in the form of a crowdfunding campaign. Currently, the band is working feverishly on the release to take Snakebite to the next level.
